Advice on a used taurus pt740 .40

Post by lildave40 »

Good Monring Everyone,

I found a Taurus pt740 slim .40 for $199.00 at the pawnshop. I wanted to know if this is a good find? It looks in perfect shape with no signs of wear.

Let me know your thought on it.

You can purchase a brand new one for $299 at Academy, but I bet that one has not been shot much. The .40 is a snappy round so in a small package like that, many are shot little and carried often. If you are recoil sensitive, you probably will not like this gun.

Be aware of the Taurus recall. I don't know if your model is included.

I love my PT709. It's been a great small carry gun, and has never jammed even once.

I'd say go for it.
