Ole' Bill admits to the real goal of "climate change."
The world’s richest man, Bill Gates, has said that the private sector is too selfish and inefficient to produce effective energy alternatives to fossil fuels.
Surprisingly the comments didn't seem to be very supportive.
"Journalism, n. A job for people who flunked out of STEM courses, enjoy making up stories, and have no detectable integrity or morals."
That is such an incredibly stupid statement. The first person who comes up with an effective energy solution with alternate fuels will end up making Bill Gates look like a pauper.

If Socialism is the only system that will work, then I invite Bill Gates to set aside $2 billion of his total $79.2 billion for 2015, so that his family can live comfortably for the rest of all their generations, and then GIVE the other $77.2 billion to government for the express purpose of developing alternative energy sources.
Mind you, as baldeagle point out on Facebook when I posted this article yesterday, Bill Gates is also the guy who said that nobody would ever need more than 640 Kb of memory.
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”
Instapundit is right. Gates has morphed into a Batman villain. He was not so keen for the government to manage the inefficient and selfish private sector when it was his inefficient and selfish company bundling browsers with operating systemst that the government was trying to manage back in the 90s.

'zackly. He should not forget to give his private jet to the government too -- he can travel to environmental conferences by train and mule like the rest of us schlubs.

I agree he should give his money away. Bill Gates never had an original thought in his head. He's great at using other's creations and marketing them and then using his wealth to subdue the completion or simply buy them. If you had a car that wouldn't run without daily updates (i.e. tune ups) you'd never buy it. I would bet a dime to a dollar he and his cronies are buying up water rights and investing in carbon credit brokers.

In a way Bill is right, although he failed to complete his logic chain. No "ism" or "ist" will save us from climate change, even if it existed at the hyperbolical levels claimed by the profit-motivated alarmists and clueless climate loons. Speaking of ineptness, Bill is close to being on track in his assessment of the private sector's fumble-thumbedness. Any form of tax won't fix that.
Bill Gates? The do as I say, not as I do guy? Billy has spent his entire career using shady and illegal methods to quash competition and muscle out rivals. He seems to be caught up in an antitrust lawsuit every other day, yet he wants to lecture everyone else on how greedy capitalists are? Yep, sounds like a socialist to me.
“While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” ― Samuel Adams
I agree with him. Capitalism cannot save us from Climate Change. Of course, the climate is going to change regardless of what we do or how many humans live on the planet. It won't save us from Global Warming either since that is a hoax.

I bet it would be so hard to live on a measly $2 Billion.
