I was not aware of the training round for the RPG-7, and I think that is a pretty nifty way to do it.
I don't think I can embed the video, you'll have to go to Forgotten Weapons to see it. Video is 13:34.

It is one of the simplest to use in its class. A farmer from Siberia can learn how to use it in a day. It is like the anti-armored-vehicile' AK
The optical site is very simple to use and has tank-size or (any 9ft high target) range estimate.

The yellow practice round is really clever using a 7.62 round configured to have the same ballistics as the RPG.

AndyC, I was thinking of you when I watched this and figured you could give us a tutorial.AndyC wrote:An EOD tech in Iraq showed me that practice rocket - which I'd never seen before - and took us down to the range where we fired AK tracers through it. Lots of fun :)

They flinch because of the "boom" with no hearing protection.AndyC wrote:As Beiruty said, it's dead simple - probably the only thing I can add is that there's zero recoil, and it's pretty funny watching someone familiar with rifle recoil actually flinch with an RPG ;)
