KIDD drop in trigger for 10/22
KIDD drop in trigger for 10/22
Has anyone ever tried one of these? They go for $200.00, did not want to pull the trigger until I asked for opinions.

I haven't tried the Kidd, but I have a Volquartsen in my 10/22 Takedown.
I'll probably go with the Ruger BX Trigger in my 50th Anniversary 10/22, just to see what the difference is.

I have a Kidd 22 that I put together, it's a tack driver. I have the 2 stage trigger and once you learn it it's fantastic

Did you go the drop in route, or did you buy the parts and install them in a Ruger trigger group? Thanks

I've not tried a Kidd trigger. I put a Volquartsen in my 1022 a couple of decades ago. Now, I am the the process of equipping myself for bench rest matches and doing a lot of comparison shopping.
I think before I sunk that kind of money into it, I would send the stock trigger in for trigger work. The fellows at Rimfire Central recommended Brimstone Gunsmithing for that work.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Thanks for all the input. I ended up going with the Ruger BX trigger because it was $79.00 at Cabela's and I had a $100.00 gift card to burn. They have then packaged so you can dry fire them while still in the package. I found one that felt real good. Once I got home I installed it and started shooting, It's a great improvement over the factory. I did have to swap back the old magazine release though, I'm not a fan of the extended one, it makes it harder for me to remove flush fit magazines.

Are y'all familiar with the Rimfire Central forum:
http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php ?
It's every bit as good as this CHL forum and deals with....{drum roll}...you guessed it, 10-22s, et al.

Cool site, spent an hour on it yesterday reading up. Thanks

I put in the Ruger BX trigger and am very satisfied with it. I went that route because I knew my aftermarket extended mag release and bolt lock back would work with it.

The one upgraded trigger I have was made by Hornet Products. About $120 and very good. If doing it again, I would be torn between that and the Ruger. Most alternatives are $200 and up.
