This is only an observation,it seems that there are hot spots of posted areas throughout Texas. In my area I haven't seen a single 30.07 and Grapevine Mills Mall that has been posted 30.06 at least since I moved here 3 years ago is no longer posted.
So in my little bubble it's getting better.

How many previously posted 30.06 have not been updated for the new wording? I'll bet you a large number. Way more than have posted compliant 30.07 PLUS NEW compliant 30.06 since January 1.Lena wrote:Things I have seen:

I don't care what the owner's intent was in posting against concealed carry (if they even had intent). I follow the law, and it says walking past a non-compliant sign is not a crime.

My intent as one of the (millions of) owners of ExxonMobil is for them not to post any of their company owned or franchised stores...but I don't think the board that I elected really cares about my intent, so I don't care about theirs unless they post a compliant notice.

4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

I live in Wichita county , any signs except for a few gun busters are far and few between .
Re: The correlation between posted businesses and their economic diversity
what would be interesting to know is the demographics of the shoppers who own a CHL/LTC. It doesn't mean much to me that 4% of Texans have a LTC when that 4% is a ratio of everyone from infants to age 20 and the elderly. What's relevant (to businesses) are the ratio of LTC Texans within the main shopping age/demographics. For example, Half Price Books have put up 30.06 signs. How many of their shoppers have a LTC and how many of those will refuse to patronize HPB so long as they have 30.06 signage? It would have to be way more than 4% (1 in 25 Texans) but it's those stats that would get the board of directors attention if the sign cuts into corp profits.

I'm sitting at urban air in South Lake with my youngest and they are not posted. A bunch of kids and moms. You'd think it would be a no brainier to post here but I'm carrying.
