Trakline belt ?

Post by chuck j »

Looking for a gun belt to carry inside the waistband . Was looking at this belt , reason being that I am losing weight and it can be trimmed and shortened . Can anyone comment or share experience with it ? Don't see the need to buy several belts before I get the dieting done .

Looks interesting. I really like my Wilderness Tactical 5-stitcher, mostly because it adjusts without the use of holes. My only concern would be the stiffness and longevity of the belt. Unless those were some kind of mega-super shears in the video, it sure looked like it was easy to cut though the 'reinforced' leather. The brief demo of the belt supporting the weight of a pistol wasn't the most convincing either.

Definitely interesting enough of a concept that I'll be doing some google-fu on these...

spolct I wondered the same thing , as you pointed out ............it does not seem too stiff . The only reason I consider it at this time is because it would be easy to down size and I would most likely only be carrying a compact pistol inside the waistband . It does seem well made though .

It's a great idea if it works, but I have my doubts for use as a gun belt.
The Kore website says that it is leather reinforced with polyurethane insert.
This is not a 'duty' or 'tactical' rated belt, but rather an EDC (everyday carry) belt that's perfect for work, play, dress or casual (iwb or owb). The Polyurethane reinforced belt is 1.5"
It would probably be great as a normal dress belt, but it doesn't look stiff enough for supporting a gun.
I haven't been able to find any reviews where people use it as a gun belt.

I look forward to a review when a forum member buys one and tries it out for carry.

Seems no one here has tested the waters on this particular belt ? If I decide to try one I'll get back with an opinion .

I think that this could fill a role in my world of carry. I typically tuck in my shirt for a few hours on Sundays and as of yet haven't purchased a dressy (or even close to dressy) gun belt. I carry AWIB and my only tuckable holster has a j-clip. I think that instead of trimming it down to ~40" I could trim it to ~46" which would leave a second section of belt to my right of the buckle. The j-clip would clip onto the inside 'extra' section and the actual j would be on the outside section thus giving me more stability than just clipping it over my drawers with the underside of the clip kind of but not really attached to the belt.

That and the price doesn't seem too bad and I like the adjustability. If it's even remotely stiff I think that it would work just fine for what I would use it for. I'll probably try to pick one up here in the next month or so after I verify with the manufacturer that my weird plan would work. I would imagine it'd be just fine unless the extra bit doesn't fit through the buckle for some reason.
