It does look weird. But if it works better what the heck.AndyC wrote:Looks weird, feels great:

Re: 1911 flat trigger
interesting.
what's the theory behind the design? I might consider one for my next 1911 build (cause a man can't have too many 1911s.....)

If memory serves it is the understanding the trigger will feel the same from the top to the bottom instead of feeling the curvature. I've always heard good things.

I have football lineman fingers.AndyC wrote:It feels like it's on rails or something.
I really have no idea - but it feels like there's only one direction for the trigger to go, and that's straight back.ghostrider wrote:what's the theory behind the design?
Mr. pointer curves down when gripping the gun causing the pad to be on the bottom of the trigger.
The flat trigger gives me a consistent parallel pull from this position. (Straight back.)
I have them on all my 1911s.

Re: 1911 flat trigger
Haven't done the next build, but I put a Caspian flat trigger in a current 1911. Unfortunately, I like the feel of the flat trigger better, so I'll be swapping some more. I will try the 10-8 Performance version next.
