Slide Fire Stocks

Please, if you own one of these or an equal, clue me in as to what your interest is.

I don't get them...?

A modern day version of the slip on rubber but pad to reduce felt recoil, I suppose. Pretty neat video from their website.

Actually no. They are a replacement stock that caused the gun to 'bump fire'. Basically the recoil allows the gun to fire again and creates a simulated full-auto type of firing. They are fun to play with, but definitely not the same as a true selective-fire full auto.

I was just getting ready to say.... I don't even remotely have the money to be firing off ammo at that rate. Plus, I much prefer long range precision shooting to "spray and pray"

I've got to play with a fully auto, internally suppressed 10-22 a few times. I guess it just isn't for me.

I've shot someone else's slide fire stock.

I would be broke in a heartbeat trying to pay for all the ammo I would shoot.

I have one on my AR-15. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I would not buy it again. I have it lockrd in the single fire position and I have not used it for "full auto" in a long time. I too have shot the real thing in the military. It was fun when they were paying for the ammo but at $15 every 4 seconds, it gets kind of expensive.

Ahhhh, I see. Thanks for explaining that. :tiphat:

They used to have back in the 70's a gadget to do the same thing. It was a contraption that fit into the trigger well with a crank on the outside. Crank the handle & it simulates full-auto. A novelty, but just that...a novelty.

Waste of ammunition that I can't afford anyway! Haha if I want to shoot fast I can move my finger pretty freakin' fast, if not as fast as this stock.

Now even if you make it a bursting device, it is still like not the real thing, In addition, Keep semi-auto and give me less recoil like the new Russian AK107.

Thanks all for your responses.

I was hoping that beyond the fun of wasting ammo there might be a bon mot of practicality with these gadgets that I overlooked, but apparently not.
