Hawaii could be first to put gun owners in federal database

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

The first step onto a slippery slope. Hawaii was what I'd consider somewhat restrictive, back when I was stationed there in 1974-1975 even.
If you went to the public range, the HPD checked your weapon to see if it was registered with them before you could use it.
Yes, they had a guy in place there to do that.

Words cannot describe my disgust with this thing. :mad5 Just one step closer leading to full fledged confiscation, IMO.

I don’t know, something just doesn’t seem right about this. Is it a federal data base? Is it a state data base? Is it a state data base kept by the federal government?

Me thinks if someone starts looking into this little arrangement very closely, it will go away.
God Bless America, and please hurry.

Isn't a federal gun owner database illegal?
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.
