One time situation
My daughter takes her driving test to get her drivers license today . I can not carry into the Department of Public Safety to wait for the test to conclude . Leave the gun in the console of the vehicle during the driving test ?
Re: One time situation
Why not? Unless your local drivers license office shares the same part of the building with a court?
My local DL office in FTW is a dedicated building that does nothing other than DL stuff. No court, government building, can't be posted.
If yours is posted, lock the gun in the car until you get the paperwork straight, drive the car into the queue, step out of the car with your gun (CC or OC) and wait outside the building while she is taking the test. The sidewalk won't be posted.

Why can't you carry? The DPS should not be posted. I OC when my son took his test. no one said a word. The DPS is the agency that issues LTC.
Take away the Second first, and the First is gone in a second

Re: One time situation
I will simply carry then . Thank you
Re: One time situation
After you go to Austin and carry in the capitol building there, carrying at the DL office will seem routine.chuck j wrote:I will simply carry then . Thank you
