Congrats! I have a good friend that is a hospice Chaplain. He says while it has its side that is depressing, like dealing with the terminally ill, it has a lot of rewards in being able to comfort them and their families as they face the inevitable.

As the saying goes, "Where the Lord guides, the Lord provides". At times it will seem the path is long, with many turns. When you arrive where you are going, you will know it was the only way to get there.

Great post, congrats on being able to make a living while following your calling. While not formally trained, I have,served as Chaplin for my son's Boy Scouts troop for the past 5 years. It is very rewarding, while strictly a volunteer position, it allowed me the opportunity to learn about other religious beliefs, counsel boys on their duty to God, and listen to their views and thoughts on how God worked through them.
There is no requirement for a,troop to have a Chaplin, and a large majority don't, but if anyone wants to have the opportunity to reach the next generation of good kids who may not have any exposure to God in their home, I highly recommend it.
