FYI:
Quoted from their website.

Weapons are not permitted for obvious safety reasons. This policy includes pocketknives and small chains. You may not consider these items threatening, but they can cause harm. While it is legal, with a permit, to carry a concealed handgun in Texas, we do not allow guns in our facility. We are allowed to enforce this since we are privately owned.

Entrance that I used was not posted. Ticket agent, after scanning my ticket asked me to lift my shirt and spin. I was not carrying and complied to her request. If I had been carrying, not knowing that they were posted 30.06, the correct response would have been "No"? Then to retreat back to my vehicle to secure my firearm in a safe location?

  :leaving

But knowing their policy, it would be doubtful I would be attending any function there anyway...

This is in no way a rebuke of you at all "familyman"...I would want you to have a great time at an event there...

I'm taking a harder stance on my excursions into the world, and avoid gun-free victim zones like the black plague...

Given their rules, specifically the fact that they don't allow re-entry, I don't know that that would be a viable option since your ticket had already been scanned. In that scenario, you might be better off simply telling the ticket agent that you're not comfortable with that, and asking what your options are.

Why in the goose-stepping hell would anyone attend anything at this place? "Empty water bottles are OK, you can fill them at our water fountains"? You pay $100+ for a ticket and are treated worse than an inmate in county jail? No thanks. I'll buy a CD and turn my sound system up.
