I'll take a picture next time I am there.
I filed a complaint on the TABC website.

Not smart enough to properly execute their anti-gun bias. Not surprising.
It becomes a matter of tactics... In this case, any sign that does not conform exactly to the size and wording is not effective notice under 30.06 or 30.07, so legally you can carry. However, I can guarantee you that if you OC in there, it will be "Are you a cop?", quickly followed by "You gotta git outta here with that there thing on your hiyp." and you have now, according to some, been permanently verbally notified for that location for OC and CC... forever... for-ev-er.Ericjd0887 wrote:If you came across a situation like this, do you stillAJSully421 wrote:Ha... Have to leave your gun in the car/truck? Or can you stay with gun concealed or open? Or does the verbal
Warning thing come in to play?
This course of events is entirely possible. It is also possible that they don't notice your openly carried gun, or that they just assume you are a cop since it would be "illegal" (in their minds) for you to have a gun if you weren't a cop. If neither of those happens, and they ask if you are a cop, a smile and a "I have authority to carry here" might end it. If not, then yes you might need to go find another liquor store for your business. Or you could just concealed carry and not worry about it at all.AJSully421 wrote:It becomes a matter of tactics... However, if you are concealing, and doing a darn fine job of it... how will they know that you are carrying to verbally notify you of anything?
So, in these situations, it is best to conceal and keep quiet. It is perfectly legal to do both. Don't listen to the "honor the owner's wishes" crowd, there's something the matter with those folks.
