Any 1911 Gunsmiths In DFW

Has anyone found or used a gunsmith in the DFW area that can bobtail a 1911 grip?

If not does anyone have experience of sending one off? Who did you use? How good was the work? And how long was the wait?

Give Andrew McFarlane of http://admgun.com a call - he works on 1911s and is in Southlake near CostCo. Couldn't tell you anything about his bobtail skills but he does know/build 1911s.

I suspect Andrew could take a rusty old engine block from a '48 Studebaker and produce 1911s that would rival anything Les Baer has ever produced.

The man is a true craftsman.
