Walmart Workers Refuse to Make Cop’s Retirement Cake

Post by Pawpaw »

Three Walmart workers in McDonough, Georgia refused to decorate a “thin blue line” cake for a police officer’s retirement party because they said it was racist.

Of course they will face no criminal penalties for refusing to make a cake, for a police officer, but if they had refused to make a cake for a gay couple, they would face the wrath of BHO's DOJ. :mad5 :mad5 :mad5

I think we should all boycott Wal-Mart until those employees are fired. I would also think that the police response to calls from Wal-Mart in that city, should take the lowest priority. :banghead: :banghead:

Lol, police have a way of making it right. If you don't think so, ask the employee(s) in a month... :nono:

Not good for WM. Appears Kroger did it right.

Kroger makes waaaaaaaay better cake.

I don't blame WM per se, but they should fire the refusing to make the cake people.

Especially for insubordination. The Manager evidently told them to make it, ( not that I would have eaten a cake made by disgruntled bakery workers) and they refused. I don't usually have that option where I work, unless I want to be seeking opportunities elsewhere.

One of these went on the SUV's rear window after the assault on Dallas police officers:

No one has challenged me about it. If they do, they'll get a detailed explanation of my appreciation for the service and heroism of our nation's law enforcement officers.

I think you may be right. But I, for one, sure hope that the local police have more integrity than you may be implying here.

I believe I read Walmart has addressed this with the people involved.

That's not an employee problem, that is a management problem. :mad5

One of the 'managers' from WM went to the family and offered to make the cake. They guy who originally reported the story said the entire "apology" seemed to be forced and not really sincere. The family declined the offer to provide the cake as they had already had one made elsewhere (and didn't want food prepared by someone who thought them 'racists').
