Liberals be very afraid

Post by philip964 »

There was a story about the poor shape of the Democratic Party after this election.

Apparently local politics are so bad that the Republicans are one shy of having a 3/4's hold on all State Legislatures.

This would mean if they were able to control one more State Legislature the Republicans can amend the U S constitution at will without opposition.

Guys be careful and don't mess up.

Would this mean that they could amend the second amendment. Perhaps with wording to the effect:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear military grade Arms, shall not be infringed."

In that case would not the NFA automatically become unconstitutional?

If I am overstating things a bit please remember I am not yet a citizen of this country

Why would you restrict it to military-grade arms when it currently covers all arms, sporting or military?

Justices who uphold anti-gun laws are either domestic enemies of the Constitution or non compos mentis. Either way they don't care what the Second Amendment says, so changing the text is as pointless as changing the deck chairs on the Titanic.
