TOO COOL!!

Does it actually fire?? If so....be careful and conceal it lest you run across some over zealous LEO that'll take you in on a weapons charge

I can hear it now....it uses an explosive force to expel a projectile....bla....bla....bla

I was joking in the title, I didn't buy it. I don't think I'd even take it if it was given to me.

Their website seemed legit though.

Yes, they do fire, and ammunition, while expensive, is available.

They're not terribly powerful. Forget "mouse gun," that's a "fly gun."

What kind of round does it take? I'm immensely curious.

It's a 2.34mm rimfire, it would appear. http://www.swissminigun.com/home.html

Unfortunately it is not importable to the US due to its size.

No big loss to me, since I can think of other guns I'd rather spend $5,250 on, and at $8.33 a round for the ammunition...Well, I could buy *another* new gun for the cost of a range trip with that thing.

Nope, when I was with TSA, we had a couple of items similar to them come through, and TSA still gets as uptight about them as any other gun.

Actually some of the reasoning seems sensible to me, there are lots of people out there who know absolutely nothing about guns, and those people are likely to view a 2.34mm gun, or even those little blank firing ones of the same size, as paranoically as a 9mm.

TSA screeners don't get any choice in the matter, it it looks like a gun, a supervisor gets called, that includes obviously non-firing replicas no matter what material they are constructed of, or what size.

We had one (blank firing) come through Love Field on a keychain and the owner was very vocal about objecting and wound up having a long intimate talk with DPD LEOs. Another came though and the owner claimed she had forgoten it was on her keychain and just "surrendered" it. From the looks of her keychain I could accept that, I wonder how many ignition swithces she destroys per year hanging that blob of junk off of them, and she probably even blames the car manufactrer.

If you're flying out of Phoenix, it looks like you can wheel a Gatling gun or nuclear cruise missile through the checkpoints... you just have to wait until the wee hours to do so.

Hobby is no better. Go there about 1 am and no one, i mean no one is working there I could see. We were waiting on a late flight and all that stopped us from going all tha way to the gate unchecked was a little sign. There actually was people going to the gate but I dont like jail so i waited up front. Nothing to stop someone from carrying whatever back there and stashing it or waiting till morning.
