Had my wife scheduled for a defensive pistol class a couple of weeks ago, but some church stuff came up unexpectedly and she could not go, so I took her place although I had previously attended the same class. So, this time instead of taking my normal Shield 9mm EDC, I thought I would have some real fun and take my old SA 1911A1. Man was that fun!
So now, I am looking at CCing a 1911 Commander, but I want a steel frame, not aluminum.
Do not want to carry my existing SA 1911, the trigger is too light and for carry I want the slightly shorter barrel the commander style offers.
Does anyone have experience with the Ruger SR1911 Commander ?
Good ? Bad? etc....
