Integrally suppressed 9mm pistol

Post by LucasMcCain »

So I haven't seen anyone mention this, and I was just discussing the idea of someone making one the other day with a friend. Seems Silencerco has managed to make a viable, modern, integrally suppressed 9mm pistol. I think they said it will go into limited production this year. MSRP $1500. Here's hoping we can get suppressors deregulated this year, and that somebody like Ruger or S&W make a more affordable version. I would dearly love to have one of these, but I definitely don't have the $1500 or the tax stamp to be an early adopter.

For those of us who own SiCo products or follow them at least, this is not new news. SiCo has been showing this off for the past 18 moths or so as they have been developing it into the prototype stages. Started in FL where they were shooting suppressed weapons off boats then it's been in almost all of their lifestyle or "why suppressed" videos since then. I'm interested in trying it. It's not a conceal carry weapon but would be great for home defense so you don't go deaf shooting indoors. I imagine they had it at their Quiet Riot show a month or so ago in Waxahacie. Unfortunately family commitments got in the way of me attending.

I like that you can add and remove baffels to change the volume of the suppressor. The base version is hearing safe with subsonic ammo. Add the other three baffle sections and its hearing safe with supersonic +p+p ammo. Nice! Plus you can dissemble and clean.

If we can get the HPA passed and this thing drops in price you better beleive I will get one. A little big for conceal carry but would be awesome to open carry.

I thought the same thing. I open carry most of the time, and that would be great for doing so. I think carrying a traditionally suppressed gun would be impractical because of the overall length, but not so with this design. I can see this being a real game-changer if the HPA passes.
