Yep, I got that email also. I don't see how it could be much better than my Shield, but I do like Springfield stuff!

I wonder how radically new and different it can really be? Guess we'll see soon enough.

The pics below are from the video. Seems to show a small defense oriented single stack. Second image shows an external hammer. 1911 variant? Either way we'll know tomorrow...

External hammer? Not another striker fired? Seems to be getting more interesting.

Good catch, I thought those videos had the pistol blurred.

Someone at xdtalk.com just posted a pretty official looking picture of a pistol with a hammer. Looks kinda legit to me like someone snuck a picture at the upcoming show.

Haha. Kinda. It looks like a photo of a brochure and of a backdrop for a photo-op area at a trade show. Who knows. I already run an HK P30 so my hammer fired polymer combat pistol needs are not lacking.

I would post a photo but don't want to step on any toes or violate any forum to forum rules.

It looks like a mod 2 with a hammer, thumb safety, and no grip safety that I can see.

Found that picture. Hammer fired, manual safety, no safety on trigger.

After the "Grip Zone", I will never own one of their products. Ever.

Hmm… Can’t decide if I like the general look of it or not. Looks a little chunky but I’ll reserve judgement till I actually handle one. I can’t wait to try the Low Effort Slide (L.E.S.) that “practically racks itself”. At least I’ll give SA props for going ambi on the controls. I’m not a southpaw but many in my family are. I’ve often wondered why some companies would automatically exclude 10% of their potential sales audience. Anyway, i’m looking forward to checking one out in person.
