Who's up for an "open carry walk"? The ride, the ride. :biggrinjester:

Just as a side note, are they selling alcoholic beverages? Not that it matters legally, but just to know.

They have in years past.

It burns me up that these folks are still getting away with posting!

Your option: Don't attend, keep your money in your wallet.

Email them your reason for not attending.

I say carry away if you want to attend. If you don't want to cause a scene, then carry concealed.

You can also try writing a letter to the organizers and then following up with an AG complaint, but if this is being run by a private organization, then that will likely be a dead end.

One thought. If they are using Fort Worth PD officers (on or off duty) to enforce their illegal ban, you could write a letter of complaint to the chief of police and then follow up with an AG complaint against that government agency for their involvement. After all, the Fort Worth PD is definitely not a private organization and therefore should not be exempt from the fines for signs law.

I agree 100% on all points. I can't write a letter to the organizers as some of them are very good friends with my SO. I will however drop a note to the Chief of Police right now with the hopes that he will reply, and /or let his officer know they need to follow the law.

I am very tempted to show up and open carry. I have a feeling they won't have metal detectors and concealed carry will leave none the wiser...it's just that I'm tired of being pushed around. Essentially this is the same as a private organization posting 30.06/7 on a public road or highway. I tried to CC at Cowboys' Stadium for a non-professional/scholastic event, and no dice. General Paxton says "KP-108 and pound sand ScottDLS!".

Question for the legal beagles out there. If you 30.06 post one on ramp to I-35 does that theoretically prohibit carry throughout I-35 in Texas?)
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

ScottDLS,

Yikes, you have much hair on your chest if you do OC, but I rather hope you don't.

I don't want to read about your trauma and legal fees for daring to go up against big brother, as our AG continues to fail us here in Texas.

If there isn't a /30.06 sign posted on an exit ramp, I think the AG said it applies to all highways that connect to 35, directly or indirectly.

It is also interesting that they say only clearly marked service animals will be permitted. There is no legal requirement for service animals to have any distinguishing marks or identifiers. If the AG won't do anything to prevent the anti-gun enforcement, it would at least be interesting to see the ADA go after them for trying to ban service animals that do not fit their arbitrary dress code.

The Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for Tarrant County will go after them for violating the federal Americans with Disabilities Act? "rlol" "rlol" "rlol" "rlol"

Maybe the AUSA (Assistant United States Attorney).... :evil2: That is if she's not to busy prosecuting GSFZA violations or 39 CFR 232.1 conduct on postal property. :evil2:

I will be open carrying and have my Service Pig on a leash.

Oh, you know exactly what I meant. Point being, they seem to be under the impression that they get to make the law regarding what is and is not allowed.

I am trans-feline. I will be suing them for lack of litter accessible restrooms. I will be my own service animal.
