After over 13 years on active duty, I enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard, HHB 4/133FA, 49th AD in 1991 where I served as the Batallion Fire Direction Chief until 1997. In May of 2004, the 49th AD became the 36th ID.

When in Austin, y'all should make time to visit the Texas Military Forces Museum.
