Airsoft vs. Laser
Thoughts/experience/recommendations on the better training device - a realistic Airsoft pistol, or a laser - either a laser insert for your own pistol, or a laser training pistol?

Re: Airsoft vs. Laser
I have a 9mm laser trainer and the .45 adapter so I can use it with my 1911s. To me, there is no substitute for having the same weight pistol and the same trigger that I'll shoot with.
A bonus feature of this one is that orange plastic nut at the muzzle leaves no doubt that the pistol is safe. I still needs to be handled the safely, but that little reassurance is good.

Re: Airsoft vs. Laser
I think they're useful for different things. Laser is good for training trigger control and follow through. It can be used inside without special precautions. Airsoft is good for training moving targets and transitions without special targets. It can also be used for force on force with protective gear and the right mindset to avoid turning into ten year olds having a BB gun war, at least until training is over.

This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
