If anyone here owns one of these, would you please tell me what you think about it?

Re: Kel Tec sub2000 in 40s&w
I owned one and thought it was great. I only sold it because I managed to finally find one in 9mm. I have no other 40 S&W firearms, and wanted to consolidate calibers. My gun was completely reliable and pretty darn accurate, as is my current one in 9mm. They have a lot of plastic parts, and feel kinda cheap, but they work.
Personally, this is my "30.06 sign" weapon. I usually keep it in my car in a spare computer bag, along with extra mags, etc. I rarely ever go into a 30.06 posted location, but when I do, it is much nicer to have this than the alternatives (Taser / Pepper Spray / Knife). Of course, I do meet the definition of a Voluntary Emergency Services Personnel, so this is really all about avoiding the dreaded "ride" and not being a "test case", etc., etc.
Getting back to the gun, it is fine as-is. Just get a couple larger capacity mags to go with it and find a good case (largish computer bags work just fine). But if you want to get fancy, you can buy a folding mount for a RDS. It slows down the deployment a bit, but if you really dislike iron sights, you do have that option. In stock form, deployment takes less than 5 seconds, closer to 2 if you practice a bit.

I have one that takes Glock mags. Still tinkering with it and need to sit down and shoot it at a paper target rather than 2 liters and get some time checking grouping. I did the upgrades from MCarbo, the trigger kit and buffers tube cover. Huge improvement in trigger feel and weight. The tube cover is small but makes a noticeable difference in the cheek weld. It’s a fun gun to shoot and makes a great truck gun too.

I have one in 9mm and am happy with it. It is a gen 2 version. I wouldn't get the gen 1 version. I don't have any guns in .40 so I didn't go for that model. It works, goes boom every time, fairly accurate. There is nothing else quite like it if you want a fold up rifle. It is not of the quality of a Ruger or S&W but it does what it is supposed to do. If you can't carry because of 30.06/07 and there are no "no firearm" signs you can still bring one of these rifles in with you, hopefully in a concealed bag so people don't really freak out. It will fit in a briefcase or computer bag. Goes into action fairly fast. If you wear ear muffs when you shoot it is very hard to get a good cheek weld to use the sights. People with beards seem to have problems with the action grabbing their hair. Left handed shooters may have more problems. Glock and Magpul mags work well in 9mm.

I have a Sub 2000 in 9mm for Glock mags, great gun! Kentucky Gun Company, kygunco.com, shows a decent stock of 9mm and .40 Sub 2000's in stock. Prices aren't bad either, under $400.
