My mom called me today.

She said we may be going into affected areas to rescue horses (she's in equine rescue agency) and people.

Would handguns be enough protection? I have the XD SC 9, and I'm planning on having the AK in the truck (though its a good time to pick up my AR! Maybe a shotgun?) I have a huge diesel 4x4 and wouldnt mind pulling people out as well.

Anyone wanna come with? We could roll through town 5 deep, armed to the teeth, and try to help out where we can.

just a crazy idea from a crazy college student.

Seriously though... If your mother needs your truck you should go help her out.
I think one pistol and one rifle will be enough. Stack the bed of the truck with bottled water too.
