Very nice looking pistol!
My uncle's favorite pistol was a nickel .38 Super Colt with stag grips. It was well-worn from decades of use including some law enforcement along the border.
On the other hand, Dad told the story of a pistol club he shot with in the Panhandle. Whenever someone showed up with fancy target stocks, the local ace would admire them, complement the owner, then take the stocks off his pistol and outshoot them holding the bare frame. Now, that's just showing off!
