During my time in the Air Force, I saw the Thunderbirds several times. First flying the F-4, then the T-38, and finally the F-16.
It was always a treat, but from a spectator's perspective, the F-4 demonstrations were the most impressive. Watching two of those big F-4's doing that belly-to-belly pass about 50 ft above the runway would take your breath away.
