Shoot Point Blank Ammo - 9mm Available

I was at the Shoot Point Blank in Round Rock this morning and bought 500 rounds of their remanufactured Midwest brand 9mm, 115 grain, FMJ. They had thousands of rounds on the shelves. $11.99 plus tax. My membership gets me 5% off of ammo. $123.31 out the door. SBP is sold out on line. You have to go to the store.

That's significantly cheaper than my purchase this morning. Midway had a 500 case of Winchester White Box for $168 shipped. I have plenty of 9mm here, but I always like to keep a set amount of safety stock because reasons.

I looked at my budget and figured the ammo I would need for the rest of the year. Went to Shoot Point Blank in Round Rock, looking for 1000 rounds of 9mm FMJ. They only had 950 on the shelves and none in the back. So, being of sound mind and body, I bought it all.

Midwest ammo is crap. Case gaged rounds and they don't pass. Plus multiple Squibs at NRH store. I worked there. Saw it first hand. Wouldn't sell it.

This morning I went to SPB in Round Rock and fired five rounds each from 11 different boxes. Everything went bang as expected and I saw no difference in point or aim or impact. I'm feeling good about this buy as a back up to my usual brands. This is as low as I will go. No Tula steel or lacquer for me.

Went to Shoot Point Blank in Round Rock this morning and fired 50 rounds'; 5 each from 10 different boxes of Midwest 9mm 115grain. Bang every time, no issues with POI/POA. That's a 7.2% sample of the Midwest ammo I bought at SPB. I have 13 boxes yet to sample, which I will do this weekend.

SPB Round Rock continues to be out of 9mm FMJ and JHP.
