The E is supposed to mean Enhanced. I'm not sure what the enhancements are but that should help your hits when you Google it.

The "V" is no longer in production, is it? Wasn't it replaced by the "VE" models?

Edited to answer my own question: "Yep. The 40VE was introduced in 1999 after the 40V was discontinued."

What the actual differences are, I dunno. A real expert will be along shortly...

I quess I have had my 40v for 10 years now. Never a FTF or FTE once. I have read the good the bad and very bad.

Thinking on trading it at a gun show for a Glock 27. Meet a guy at the range the other day and he had just traded his 40v for a G26 at a gun show and got 250 for the 40v.
