Open Carry Reciprocity
I have searched the forums and not found an answer, so sorry if this has been asked/answered and I missed it.
I am familiar with the maps showing states that have reciprocity with Texas CHL, but which of these states allow open carry ? The only time I am likely to OC is while driving on a long trip ...

Just for info. I went ahead and carried this year all through the OTC show, no problems.

Can I carry at the OTC in Reliant Park/Stadium ?
I plan on attending the OTC on Tuesday. Reliant Park states they have a "no firearms policy", but since this is NOT a sporting event, I think I can carry.
Thanks for any help,
Bob

Wow, this is really good info. I had zero clue. 10 yards (30') sounded like plenty of buffer.......I better start practicing and thinking a bit differently.
Thanks alot for this link. Is this ...

Re: Confrontation
Once the threat is over you have no right to use weapon. The attack has stopped, but you do need to call police so they can be aware of a problem on the streets.
This pretty much sums it up. Thanks everyone for the input. I must say though, several people think a guy 30 feet away with a knife is ...

Re: Confrontation
If he drops the knife and runs away, there is no more threat and no more justification to use deadly force.
That's what you call a good result! :thumbs2:
BTW, you carry a weapon to defend yourself & your family, not to take bad guys off the street.
Thanks Pawpaw, you're absolutely right, I ain ...

Confrontation
My apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum.
I was just thinking about a "what if" scenario. If I'm confronted by say, a guy with a knife and I pull to defend myself, and he then drops the knife. He starts to run away when I try to call 911, do I just let him go to rob someone else another day ...

Re: Supertuck with Colt XSE ?
Well, it looks like my question is mute. I just checked around town, and there is not a single XSE available, in any flavor. I had no idea they were so hard to get, they won't even put me on a waiting list.
Guess I need to start a new search for a carry .45
Thanks anyways guys,
Bob

Supertuck with Colt XSE ?
Hi all,
I just received my plastic, and looking forward to carrying. I have definitely decided to carry a .45 of some flavor in a IWB rig. I am leaning towards a Colt XSE Lightweight Commander and a crossbreed supertuck, but I have some concerns that the front serrations on the XSE will hang up ...
