Re: 6.5 Grendel project

You are going to like that build if it is anywhere close to accurate as mine is. Mine is built as a pistol with a 10.5" bbl and has a SBA4 stock as I don't want to deal with the hassle of the sbr route. It will almost shoot a 1" group at 100 yds will ring an 8" steel target at 300 yds. I have a TruG...

Re: Sporting clays

I’ve been wanting to give sporting clays a try. I love skeet, but traps seems boring to me. Sporting clays looks like a LOT of fun though. Andy, let me know the next time you decide to go if you want someone to tag along. Oh, and congratulations! Tam go for the cart, it is a lot easier on us old fo...

Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine Roundup

Just built an AR pistol with 4" bbl, SBA4 brace and buis. Not for distance shooting or hunting, it's all about fun. Collapsed length is 22" and with SBA4 brace extended it is 25". As Tam said 9mm is cheap enough to shoot just for fun and this thing is a lot of fun. I have an AR-9mm carbine but this ...

Re: Especially Texan: Murdo Mackenzie

My dad worked the upper and lower Matador in his twenties and thirties. He first worked there at the time Mackenzie was manager. He told me they had one pasture at that time that had 264 sections under one fence.

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Marfa, TX

Capote Falls is the highest waterfall in Texas and is located on the Brite Ranch. There is not public access to the falls unless things have changed recently. The ranch was invaded on Christmas day 1917 by Villistas and Carrancistas from Mexico in the next to last raid into the United States. This a...

Re: 10mm 1911's that can handle full power ammo

RIA 10mm or Ruger SR1911 10mm. While both need a few rounds for break in they both work very well. RIA gets the win for price and Ruger gets it for fit and finish. Sure like the RIA but the Ruger is a better firearm in all regards except price. Have not found any ammo either one does not like.

Re: .44 AutoMag on the way

Excellent AndyC, I have wanted one of these pistols for years. Now that I don't get to shoot as often as I would like I may never own one. However I will be waiting on your expert review as to operation and accuracy of this weapon. Good luck with the new toy.
