It is my understanding that the building has no court rooms in it, and is basically just used as office space for various county services. The only section I could find under the penal code that somewhat matched their 30.06 sign is:
(c) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder intentionally,
knowingly, or recklessly carries a handgun under the authority
of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, regardless of
whether the handgun is concealed, at any meeting of a governmental
entity.
But I certainly was not attending a meeting of a governmental entity to get new license plates.
So, would you guys consider it to be a valid posting or not?
government meetings are not off-limits unless 30.06 posted;
If you were not attending a meeting then 30.06 would not apply, as it is a government entity that cannot otherwise post.
