Prayer for my mother in law...

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Me too - twice. . . .with my dad in 1990, and with my wife's dad in 2007. Thank you for your kind sentiments. They are appreciated.

Barbara has been asleep since yesterday afternoon now. Today is her birthday, and she wanted to live that long. I doubt that she'll wake up to enjoy it as she is pretty far gone now. Her favorite place in the world was Hawaii, so I bought her a birthday bear yesterday with a little Hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts on, and named him Bob after her husband who died a little over a year ago. The bear is sitting at the foot of her bed as I write this.

Bless your hearts. In many times of grief, I have found comfort in the words to "Amazing Grace" and few have ever done it better than these guys:

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Barbara went home to be with Jesus just 30 minutes ago. Her long suffering is over, and she is with The One who loves her most. Thank you all for your prayers.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." (John 11:25)

For all the pain she suffered, Barbara was in the company of people she loved when she passed. The Lord has welcomed her into Heaven, and her eternal soul is at peaceful rest.

God Bless you and your family. Our prayers for you continue.
