A speedy threadjack: Where is your preferred carry position?
Appendix carry first, if it works for you. Can't have Dunlap's disease to pull it off, but it has a lot going for it tactically.
A 3:00 to 4:00 (right-handed; reverse for left) hip-carry is second. This is the one you can practice at the range and in IDPA. That alone bumps up inherent value. I carry at 3:00-3:30.
Third, cross-draw (right-handed) at 10:30 to 11:30. Again, you need lean abs.
Fourth, I'd go with a shoulder holster.
A very distant fifth is small-of-back. Despite the movies, this is an abysmal place to carry a gun. If a BG is within zero to five feet, fouling your draw is a piece of cake. And if he has an accomplice, you can't do much to defend your gun.
