carry in VA hospital?
Is it legal to carry the dallas VA hospital? It isn't posted on the doors.thanks. sj
Another good one. Is it a hospital & require a 30-06 sign or is it a federal instalation?
The legal eagles will give the answer but I bet it is a Federal Instalation & I dont want to be the test case. It stinks.

Well, this lawyer doesn't know, but I strongly suspect VA hospitals are federal facilities owned or leased by the Veterans Administration. Thus, no 30.06 sign would be required to make them off-limits to CHL's. Some "VA hospitals" are actually private hospitals providing services to the VA under contract. Those would not be federal facilities, in my opinion.

"notoriously humorless"??? That is an understatement...KBCraig wrote:The VA hospital is a federal building. They even have their own federal police force (VA Police), and are notoriously humorless about firearms.

I'll still do my visits, but I won't live there...
