Another good one. Is it a hospital & require a 30-06 sign or is it a federal instalation?
The legal eagles will give the answer but I bet it is a Federal Instalation & I dont want to be the test case. It stinks.

I'd like to know also----I was there last week and left gun in truck just in case.
After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring.
He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him.
The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

Well, this lawyer doesn't know, but I strongly suspect VA hospitals are federal facilities owned or leased by the Veterans Administration. Thus, no 30.06 sign would be required to make them off-limits to CHL's. Some "VA hospitals" are actually private hospitals providing services to the VA under contract. Those would not be federal facilities, in my opinion.

What about the 1st test case :?:
Seems like I remember a wise man saying "those who are on the cutting edge of law usually bleed to death."

I recall this one......the answer is NO. Now way, no how, just plain no. BUT, i'd have to dig to get the facts, this is just what I recall as the outcome of this question last I heard it.

The VA hospital is a federal building. They even have their own federal police force (VA Police), and are notoriously humorless about firearms.

I know the VA in Houston is posted with signs advising it is illegal to have firearms there, and citing the relevant section of the CFR.

"notoriously humorless"??? That is an understatement... ;-)

I'll still do my visits, but I won't live there...
