Hah I am a sick man. I think maybe I might build this next one as a semi-auto belt fed "MG47" I just need the mg3 parts or whatever and the receiver tube.

Its bull..I had everything together. I was taking the grease off of them, then I put them back in a new bag. I checked today to put the lower receiver together, and it bolt catch roll pin is gone.

you put it together... then took it apart to degrease the parts? I wanna see pics of your baby.

speaking of grease and cosmoline... today I got a few suomi drums and a couple stick mags in the mail. The drums are gonna be going in a mp5k clone chambered in 40cal. yeah, I am nuts grafting in a suomi magwell into a mp5k oh and converting the drums to run 40 instead of 9mm. But that is a different point. The grease... The drums must have been in cosmoline since ww2. I wiped most of it off, washed my hands and still my hands smell like cosmoline. Can't stop smelling them. Grease = love.

BTW dude losing a roll pin isn't bad on your first build. I have had a couple detent parts fly off into never never land building AR's. The detent for the front pin has punched me in the eye before. One lost roll pin, you are doing great. Lets see it!
