Oakland’s first-ever gun buyback fizzles

Post by barstoolguru »

"On Saturday, the Oakland Police Department set up the city’s first ever gun buyback in a Caltrans lot in Fruitvale.

The net recovery? 12 guns.

OPD Lt. Blair Alexander, in charge of the buyback operation, told the Trib he was disappointed in the lack of support it received:"

they where too busy using them to sell them

Some parents say it is toy guns that make boys warlike. But give a boy a rubber duck and he will seize its neck like the butt of a pistol and shout "Bang!"......George Will

That is SO impressive...only slightly less than the whopping 90 guns that the BATFE pulled off of the streets there. That's because there are hardly any left since Jerry Brown cleaned up Oaktown when he was the mayor...

"rlol" Don't they make those paperweights not far from oakland? Perhaps they could raise their sales by taking them straight from the assembly line to the "buy back"
