This country is drowning in an ocean of debt. If Romney doesn't get rid of all this commie garbage dragging us under, his supporters deserve to get caught in the riots when the US economy collapses. :banghead:
Romney keeps getting bashed as a "corporate guy". Well, I'm hoping that he might decide, since he's a corporate guy, to do some serious "downsizing". Of course, he can't do it by himself (only the current POTUS-wannabe can do that), he'll have to get Congress to push through the necessary laws. So, its not just about changing the executive branch, but also about holding the House and taking the Senate, as well. Is there a distinct liklihood that the whole thing will flop even with Mr. Romney at the controls? Sure there is...but the flip side is doing NOTHING to downsize and getting to the collapse in a rather rapid fashion. I can't imagine, as an amateur student of history, that an economic collapse would be very fun. :skep:

I heard that was tried before and nobody recommends it.

I think the problem is the Obamunists and other 47%ers are the ones calling him that, and they wouldn't vote for him if he was an academic or a career politician or anybody else with no experience making a living in the real world. Most of the people who think downsizing the federal government is a good thing, economically and/or constitutionally, don't seem to think Romney will cut those jobs (and entitlements) to save the country.

I think some of the Obamunist leadership do want to get there in a rapid fashion, because they think they can use the crisis to grab even more unconstitutional power.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

There is no question about the President being a follower of Saul Alinsky, at least for me.

Whether or not he also is pursuing, at a breakneck pace, a Cloward-Piven strategy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloward%E2 ... n_strategy is perhaps less clear because the results of Cass Sunstein and others who might be implementing it are visible only within the administration. With my tinfoil hat on, I can see the parallel between Obamacare and the C&P methods. The growth in the welfare and Social Security disability roles also point to an attempt to saturate the Federal government's capabilities. The Occupy Wallstreet movement apparently failed to be the catalyst for the start the collapse that some within the movement appeared to be hoping for.

OTOH, there is the wise saying "never attribute to malice that which can be easily explained as incompetence."
