Does anybody here, in the aftermath of the dastardly, inexcusable, heinous murders of innnocent children, et al, with registered guns in CT, recall the SCOTUS' ruling on Obamacare? All it will take is a HIGH TAX on our shootin' stuff to kill our 2A rights. What good is any gun without ammunition...or bayonets?

Yes, this idgit, moral relativist expects the dog will get a bone. How big a bone remains to be seen; and I ask, please Lord, let me be wrong one more time.
Say, adjust the $200 transfer tax from 1934 dollars to 2012 dollars (~$3500) and reclassify any semi to fall under title 2/class III? :grumble
Do y'all sit around thinking up new strategies for the Brady freaks? Not that they couldn't come up with this stuff on their own, but please, don't give em any help!

Not saying anything that the POTUS hasn't already said. He said he'd use all the powers of "his" office, and Holder made the same statements. His newly appointed commission is to make recommendations to "him" not to Congress. He said he wants their findings on "his" desk in January. What do you make of those statements?

Excellent.

There is a vast number of....how shall I put this politely....idjits...out there who hold to the thought that compromise is what we need to do. They adhere to some sort of common ground concept.

No compromise.

The only common ground is that the second amendment means what it says. No infringement.

When it comes to rights, "compromising" just means giving them away a bit at a time.

Losing that way takes a little longer, but it's still a total loss at the end.

No HP, I want no more infringement than do you or any of the others herein. It's called a "Reality Check" by the Oldgringo and "compromise" by others. My Browning Hi Power and SA XD both came with so-called >10 hi-cap magazines.

Nowhere in the Constitution are mentioned semi-auto weapons, high-cap magazines, airplanes, tanks, trains, TV News, atom bombs, abortion, gay marriage, football, computers, video games, mental illness, etc., etc, etc.

Innocent children are dear to the hearts of many. I fear the dog will get a bone, this time. The smart players (2A proponents) will see that the dog gets, and accepts, the small bone that they want the dog to have, not the big bone the dog wants.

Today is 21 December 2012. Should the world end today, all of this conversation becomes moot. In the event, it does not :tiphat: and Merry Christmas to all!

Wife asked me to vacumn last night...I asked her to email a friend of her's in Australia first...if he didn't respond, I didn't want to waste the time vacuming. Well, it appears that we survived...it's now 12:30am (Saturday morning) there, and got an email saying they were were about to go to bed. :anamatedbanana
