Something to keep in mind: if someone throws a rock at you, hits you in the head, and you lose consciousness, how are you going to retreat? How are you going to keep control over your weapon? (After all, your weapon is YOUR responsibility.)

If you, while carrying your CCW, lose consciousness because some thug chunks a big rock at you, what happens? Do you think said thug is merely going to walk away? BG now has control of you, since you brain is out of order (temporarily at best). BG also has control of your gun, since you are not able to control it, or anything else.

Personally, I don't want some BG taking control of my gun. Each time the subject comes up, I reprogram myself to hold onto my gun no matter what. You can't hold onto your gun if your unconscious.

I think the unfortunate person on the video should have thought twice about chunking a rock at a person holding a gun.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I have no idea if this was a legitimate use of force, but I do know this video was selectively edited and narrated to make it look bad, which makes me lean towards the "good shoot" side of the fence.

As for rocks, I'm reminded of a routine by comedian Tim Wilson, where he relates the adventures of being a Georgia Baptist marrying an Israeli woman. He talked about her proficiency with an Uzi after being in the IDF, then said, "I tell you what, ain't nobody throwin' rocks in my neighborhood, either!"
