Granny Glock told me about it on the Women & Guns forum.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Found it on the bathroom wall at a rest stop...no, wait a minute, that was a different site

And before I get bounced off the site, yes I'm joking

I found it through either Google or Yahoo, I don't remember which. After visiting the site, and reading the posts, I wished I had found it sooner. This place is one heck of a resource on CHL and very well mannered.

I found the forum by way of Google (I think?) not long after the forum was created. I lurked in the shadows a long time before I finally joined up.

Although I belong to several other firearms related forums, TexasCHLforum has become my favorite place to hang out.

I see Charles hasn't voted yet. ;-)

I wonder if we should have a contest to see who can guess what the member count will be as of TXCHL Day at PSC in September?

I have told a lot of people but for the life of me, I cant remember how I found it. I do know the 10yr old daughter rule made a big impression.,

I used to be a regular on the newsgroup tx.guns, before it completely imploded. Charles announced that he was creating this forum, but I didn't come over for quite some time.

That all happened in the fallout of discussions about (I think) some shenanigans at TSRA. Or maybe it was a legislative session. Or NRA tactics. I forget... there's a lot of heat but little light over at tx.guns.

Anyway, I actually had a bad impression of Charles at the time, because he would offer insider reports, but be vague on specifics that he couldn't reveal because it was "inside scoop". Not knowing him from Adam, I thought he was some anonymous guy full of himself, and I thought this forum was an example of taking his ball and going home.

I'm glad to say I was very wrong about Charles, and now that I'm here, I recommend it as the finest source of information on Texas law relating to firearms and use of force.

HOW I FOUND TEXAS CHL FORUM

Post by EASTTEXGLOCKER »

It was more by accident, I thought I could find information on TEX CHL LAWS, and for some reason I must have typed in TEX CHL and did a yahoo search. And I don*t remember how many hits that brought up, I
believe it was the first or second page that show this forum. It brought up this forum, that was 1/07 I was still wating on my CHL to arrive.
needless to say it was something that really made me want to see what it was actually about. I can honestly say this is by far the greatest bunch of gals and guys I have ever had the pleasure to associate with on a (forum) on the internet IMHO.

I found a link on another site. Once I got here the atmosphere and the great attitude of the memebers made me want to stay. I now post it in my Church bulletin on the fourth Sunday of the month.

Found it while researching info before getting a CHL.

Fabulous resource, I have learned more here than I could have from classes, as there is much practical, real life applications here!

That, and the people that make up this site are very friendly... so its worth hangin around.
