I like this one too. My wife and my sister have discussed trying to figure out if and when they could send my BIL and me to one of these.Jumping Frog wrote:A top quality training course with a national-caliber reputation for quality. For example, Gunsite, TDI, Thunder Ranch, or Massad Ayoob.

A nice steak dinner at Saltgrass for your and your S.O.
A Kindle Voyage for all the time you can't be at the range.
A 10/22 takedown and 3-4 bricks of ammo.
Dave Ramsey's The Total Money Makeover to figure out what to do with the rest. (yeah, it should have been first but would have quashed the first three)

It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

Re: Spend my money for me !!!
Training sounds like a great idea. I havent had any formal training since i left iraq. I would love to get better with pistol and a shotgun course sounds awsome.
Re: Spend my money for me !!!
Just a thought but you might take the path less traveled , plus you should have some change left over . Buy a traditional muzzle loader rifle . Total new experience a , cheap to shoot , not hard to learn , and a lot of enjoyment .

Uhmmm...pardon my ignorance but they sold you a 7.5 inch upper with 2 lowers? I trust these were pistol lowers?airborned wrote:Ok i just spent some at primary arms in pearland. I was under the impression that you had to have the NFA paperwork in hand for an SBR before buying the thing. I know nobody would buy a pistol upper and just slap it on a rifle lower for inside the house?

Edit: Forgive me for wandering into the "constructive possession" swamp. I have no idea what the correct answer really is, but it seems the majority opinion (for what that's worth) is that if you own one virgin AR lower that has never been assembled into a rifle OR one registered pistol lower, you can own as many <16 inch uppers as you want. Now I've confused myself.
I think I would have gone for the SAA Colt in .45 LC.

Yes it is a pistol upper and i got a pistol buffer tube for it. I am still waiting on the nfa to approve my tax stamp but that is for a differnt upper and lower all together. Everything is leagle beagle at my house lol.

Extremely high quality, closer to home, less expensive.
