Top Ten Reasons Men Prefer Guns Over Women

Post by Wildscar »

Top Ten Reasons Men Prefer Guns Over Women:

#10. You can trade an old 44 for a new 22.

#9. You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you're on the road.

#8. If you admire a friend's gun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few times.

#7. Your primary gun doesn't mind if you keep another gun for a backup.

#6. Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo.

#5. A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space.

#4. Guns function normally every day of the month.

#3. A gun doesn't ask, "Do these new grips make me look fat?"

#2. A gun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it.

And the number one reason a gun is favored over a woman....

Drum roll, please!

#1. YOU CAN BUY A SILENCER FOR A GUN.

I saw this list posted a couple years ago over on Parallax Bill's forums, & had to post a rebuttal at the time. I managed to find it and dust it off:

Why Ladies prefer guns:

10 - A handgun doesn’t get jealous if you enjoy looking at other guns.
9 - A handgun doesn’t fidget if you talk to it (even though, like a man, it doesn’t seem to be listening).
8 - You can accessorize a handgun, and it won’t complain if you “dress it up and insist on going out on a game night.
7 - Handguns don’t spit or scratch themselves in public.
6 - Handguns don’t care how much closet space you take up, or leave their dirty socks on the floor.
5 - A handgun won’t get jealous if your other hobbies take time away from it.
4 - A handgun doesn’t assume you don’t know how to use power tools or check the oil, just because you’re a woman.
3 - A handgun won’t go through a mid-life crisis and demand an expensive holster to ride around in.
2 - If you admire a friend’s handgun, and say so, no one will think you’re angling to take it away from her. In fact, she might let you borrow it!
1 - If you need it, a handgun will never say, “Wait until the game is over.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

You might Image over to Image and take a look around there.... while there are a number that are not 10-yr-old daughter safe, there are still plenty of the Image variety.

There's also the Google Directory with a bunch of links to other smiley sites.
