I kind of like it. I'm not sure that it fixes anything for me, but for those folks that really like the 1911 trigger, it may have potential to get some of them. The wait will be on to see if the engineering is there to make it a success.

Man, it's thick up front. You could almost carry a spare mag in the dust cover! I wonder if it's front heavy?
It doesn't fill a need for me, other than it's new, but I'd be curious to shoot it and see how the trigger and balance are.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

The front makes it look like there might have been a hi-point behind the woodshed...flechero wrote:Man, it's thick up front. You could almost carry a spare mag in the dust cover! I wonder if it's front heavy?

How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Single action glass break? Definitely an argument for manual safeties not connected to the trigger, in my 1911-centric opinion.

Makes total sense to me.
I prefer dangerous freedom to safety in chains.

For carry I prefer my Glocks. For fun at the range etc. I like 1911 more. That hybrid I have no purpose for.l (slight rhyme there
).
I suspect that Glock people will still gravitate heavily to Glock, and die hard 1911'ites will not want to touch it
.
May appeal to some at first but I think it's a dud.

I tend to agree with you, although I have been wrong before, but I think they are trying to fill a need not sought after. I am not familiar with the manufacturer, and maybe they are trying to make a name for themselves with a "unique" gun, but I don't see this as going on most people's bucket list of guns to buy. JMHO

Give it some time, let us see what it does.
Who would the first to make a holster for it?
Does it shoot?
5" barrel?
How good is the trigger?
Extended Magazines?
Night Sights?
Fiber Optic Sights?
Would the price drop to the same as the VP9?

I don't see how any 1911 shooter is going to want it unless it is chambered for .45acp with a double stack mag.

Interesting. I'd give it a try and see how I like it. As for looks I don't care. I don't need a hammer to be a work of art, I just need it to put nails in stuff. Same thing with a gun. I don't need it to be beautiful, I just need it to work. If it is both great, but I'm not going to pay extra for pretty.
