Well, License Received 6/27/13, Carrying Is Awesome!
I have been carrying for a few days now and have been to work, the gas station, Wal-Mart, and the movie theatre! Not a single issue, and already feel like the gun is not even there. I was surprised, I thought it would be a little harder to conceal.

Re: Anyone Ever Done Any Trench Style Stock Carvings?
I love WWI/WWII military firearms, and have had several rifles that had numbers or initials carved into the stock by whoever was issued that weapon. I figured I would "put my mark" on my AK, because that's one rifle I will never get rif of. They came out pretty good. I didn't want them to come out ...

I have since removed that ugly black plastic pistol grip and put on a wood one.

Re: Anyone Ever Done Any Trench Style Stock Carvings?
I will post a couple up. They aren't amazing by any means, but neither were most of the ones the soldiers did. They me see what I can do...

Anyone Ever Done Any Trench Style Stock Carvings?
I love military surplus rifles, and have always liked getting guns that have carvings from soldiers, so I have done a couple stock carvings myself. I have a Polish milled AK that I carved my family crest into one side, and a Texas flag into the other. I'll try to get up pictures in a little bit ...

Re: 3" 1911, Where Do Ya'll Carry It?
Do you like cross draw? Is it easy to keep concealed? I have always like the idea of cross draw, but never carried that way. I wouldn't mind getting a second smaller handgun to keep as another carry option or to carry as a backup. I was thinking about a Polish Makarov or an LC9. I REALLY don't like ...

Re: 3" 1911, Where Do Ya'll Carry It?
That's what I figured I would do... I'll have to wait until next check, but I'll get the DM Bullard.

Re: 3" 1911, Where Do Ya'll Carry It?
Thanks for the replies guys! One more thing, any suggestions on a good leather gun belt? I kind of like the "Ranger" style belts, but am good with anything that doesn't use a round or a cowboy buckle. I want a DM Bullard belt, but have a hard time dropping $80 on a belt. Any cheaper alternatives out ...

Re: 3" 1911, Where Do Ya'll Carry It?
I'm not hitting the printing topic, because I know it's been discussed here so many times...but, when you are carrying your 1911's do you worry about it bulging? I generally wear "athletic" fit t-shirts and when I carry my gun, there is a slight bulge. The average joe probably couldn't make it out ...

3" 1911, Where Do Ya'll Carry It?
My license should be here this week, and I have a 3" RIA 1911 that will be my carry gun. I bought one of the DM Bullard Dual Carry IWB leather holsters and I like it. It's extremely well made. What holsters/locations do ya'll carry your compact 1911's?

Re: Application Mailed 06/03/13, CHL Mailed 06-24-13
I read that the "mailed" status just means it's on it's way to being mailed...I hope it hurries up! I have never felt unsafe without a gun on me, UNTIL I sent off my paperwork for my CHL, now I feel vulnerable!
