There was nothing correct in the way the Officer handled this situation. I suspect he was trying to defuse the situation with some humor, but that was not the right comment to make. First revealing that you have your CHL and second leaving a citizen with the impression they could get shot by a CHL holder.

I also agree. I do not want Anyone knowing that I have a CHL, that I, personally, do not choose to tell.

Also to insinuate that a CHL holder would 'go crazy and shoot you' is Crazy in and of itself! That's just asking to make everyone who heard this conversation anti-CHL..
