Hint, if you can't find a Glock 19, ask for a Glock 23. They are the same size, so you can at least get a feel how it fits your hands.

Sig quality must have gotten a lot worse lately. And Glocks must have gotten a lot better.

Choice A, the Glock.
MY reasoning= Quality Control, Sheer # of people/LEO that use that weapon with a proven background, ease of available parts/mags, (personal) reliability (so far i'm 4/4 of Glocks working 100% and 0/1 on sigs working 100%)

Got to thinking... I think QC has got to be fine on both. Remember SEALS, Secret Service, Texas Rangers carry a SIG P226. It come down to personal preference. I can't imagine these groups carrying anything not 100%. If the Glock works better for you/fits your hand better, go for it. But I would find it hardto believe their QC iis sub par.

Just my opinion again, but from my own experience and talking with various owners, sellers, IDPA shooters, etc... If you were to give me the numbers and data on reliability, I would place a bet that Glock > Sig. This is not to say that the older Sig's were not top-notch. However, besides the Gen 4 recoil spring issue, I can't think of another serious problem with any Glock I've ever seen/shot.

One common thing that I did notice with the sights. All that went flying had the US patent number on them. The Mags had a plastic base plate that broke off.

What about the Glock 19 and it's infamous "Phase Three" Malfunctions?

My Glocks were all Gen 2s and they all had reliability problems. I got rid of the 9mms but I still have the G21. It works fine now but it had to go back to the factory twice before they got it right.

im a huge glock fan and carry the g19. With that said, i would go with an older gen 3 19 (pre 2010). This is my opinion, but i dont feel the kinks have been worked out of the gen 4 9mm glocks. They have issued fixes but from what i have been reading, it still not a go in my book.

Well, I have finally decided. Going with the Sig. Exact model is E2022-9-BBS.

A friend of mine will see a friend of his (Dealer & FFL) later today to see what price/shipping they can come up with.

If they can't come up with something, I will order through the internet, probably Bud's Gun Shop.

I'm sure you will enjoy it. A couple of suggestions is be sure and field strip/clean before taking to the range. Be aware SIGS like to run wet, and Sig recommends grease rather than oil. Enjoy, and be sure to give us a report after you wring it out.
