Re: Potential Seminar Locations

Voted Dallas or Austin! As other have said I would perfer Fort Worth or the Mid Cities.

I think one issue is getting a venue large enough to accommodate folks from all over the metroplex at a reasonable price. Being able to use a place like UTD auditorium is actually pretty cool. That place is ...

Re: "I Carry A Badge" Leather Concealed Weapon Permit Holder

Yup, but of course, it is up to the individual to decide if it's right for them.

My father-in-law carries his in a wallet. Probably like most Texan men....

I DON'T carry a wallet, so this has become my wallet, and as I mentioned earlier, I like being able to quickly show or demonstrate some kind ...

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco

I am anxiously awaiting the release of 911 tapes & being able to know what was on the survilance video. With the inquest being put off til who knows when, the real truth may never be available for the public. Clearly something needs to shake up the LVPD.

Re: Legal Signs (enforceable signs for CHLers)

I don't think the confusion comes from a lack of knowledge or from not having paid attention in class. I think you have to remember that most people who get a CHL have been law-abiding citizens all their life. They've gone about their lives avoiding activities that could put them in questionable ...

Re: Post cleaning routine

I don't do a thorough cleaning of my guns every time I fire them. I do wipe them down and I also shoot a shot or two of gun blaster through them, but that is about it. Oh yeah... a drop or two of oil here and there. Thorough cleanings happen every five hundred rounds or so.

Re: Potential Seminar Locations

Where in the DFW is this event being planned?
I'm working on getting an auditorium at UTD. I work there. If you don't know where UTD is, it's a mile or so west of US 75 off of Campbell Road. The address is 800 West Campbell Road, Richardson, 75080.

The only problem with UTD would be the non-chl ...

Re: Frisco Gun Show This Weekend

I was not impressed with the show. I am afraid I have to give it a thumbs down. Eight bucks was about double what they ahould have charged for the amount of merchandise. Just my opinion... no point in anyone getting bent about it... LOL. If you liked the show... woohoo for you.

PS I saw the same ...

Re: Cell Pal concealed carry holster

I actually have a pager pal (now called cell pal) and thought it was the bees knees... until I discovered the smartcarry. Now, I hardly ever use it anymore. The only time that I still use the pager pal is if I need to unholster and reholster due to my visiting a 30.06 location. You have to take off ...

Re: Bonus rounds!

Maybe I'll count the 550 round brick of Federal .22 next time I buy one. I often count them long after I've dipped into it to make sure I've got enough for the current excursion.

Embalmo

I would never have the patience to count 550 rounds of ammo. I am thinking I would give up at about 30 ...

Re: American Airlines Center in Dallas. Posted??

I just took the kids the the circus at AA two nights ago and there were no 30.06 signs posted, no metal detectors, and I was not run through the wand gauntlet. The only thing they were checking is bags when you entered.

I went to an MMA event there last year and the same thing. Checking bags but ...

And call an attorney before speaking to the police. This would be an occasion where having an attorney in advance would be a real asset.

I would pull my weapon and defend myself. Ten to one odds puts me at an extreme disadvantage. I cannot whip ten people at the same time.
